Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) refers to martial arts of European origin, particularly focused on the use of weapons and fighting techniques that are recorded in historical archives and manuscripts.

Center for Blade Arts is proud to offer a full suite of HEMA curriculum, with 20 regular classes held throughout the week, taught by more than a dozen highly experienced coaches.
We study 10+ historical fighting systems, with more classes being developed and added regularly.

Many of our regular members have traveled from all over the globe to train at CBA.
Our HEMA fencers are regularly invited to compete in local, regional,
national and international events.

HEMA culture at CBA is diverse, inclusive and community-centered,
with strong focus on maintaining a safe and supportive training environment for all who join us.
