Volunteers Needed
We are seeking some volunteers to manage our social media presence. This would entail regular posting onto various social media channels. See Tyler, Anna, or Paul!
Donations Needed
Small Items: We need some rags and used towels for cleaning purposes!
Large Items: We would like to get a tournament banner; a replacement mirror to fill the empty space at the end of the yellow strips; and another aluminum strip. See Tyler or Paul!
In Memorium: Peter Westbrook
A giant of American fencing departed us in December. Peter Westbrook was a 12-time national champion, a six-time Olympian, an Olympic individual bronze medalist, and a true gentleman. He was the creator of the Peter Westbrook Foundation, which seeks to bring opportunities in fencing, education, and life to inner city children in New York. He was also a good friend to Coach Paul, who knew Peter since they both were teenagers. Peter shared the values we seek to further at CBA, and achieved a tremendous amount in furtherance of those values and in helping fencers. American fencing will miss Peter’s vision and steadfastness.
