FUNDRAISING

Finally, I would like to include this message from a few of our parent volunteers and help their message reach a wider audience. Read on below:

Dear CBA community, In a recent news posting on the CBA website (see the post here) Coach Paul asked for donations to fund items for the club, including a tournament banner, a replacement mirror to fill the empty space at the end of the yellow strips, and another aluminum strip. We discussed this with Paul and the estimated cost for a new aluminum strip alone is $1000. Recognizing that it is unlikely a single donation to cover the entire cost of these items would be received, we are reaching out to the community to ask for participation in a collective donation effort to raise funds. The ability to fund the purchase of these items would particularly benefit the Olympic fencing families. It would not only benefit the fencers every day at practice but would also make CBA a more attractive venue for hosting tournaments.  Please consider making a contribution to this effort to fund these enhancements to our club – we are suggesting $50 per family; however, contributions in any amount are certainly welcome. Our goal is to raise the funds by the end of February.  Please contact us (Jonas Skjei - jrskjei@gmail.com or Alisha Telci -Alisha.Telci@ampf.com) with any questions.  Please send contributions via Venmo to @CBAparentsassn or contact us about other ways to contribute.

Thank you, Alisha Telci (Arya Telci, women's foil) and Jonas Skjei (Josephine Skjei, women's foil)
